Birds in Cherry Garden Dolls studio

It is Interesting, in modern heraldry the birds  present at 35% of State Emblems in varying interpretations. Question is - how many states, big and small cities have the Bird symbol?

Mobile toys
One of my favorite ideas in work - it is a bird. Wings and ability to fly are symbols of freedom in many cultures.
Like an angel the bird also is a sign of the soul.

Doves - cake topper
What else do people associate with this  sign?
Deity, Creator, sun, immortality, child, motherhood, fertility, the thought, the speed, happiness, purity, love, time.

Purple, lilac, violet, lavender, magenta...

Since ancient times, the color purple - has been a symbol of power and piety.
In those times purple dye was very expensive, so robes of purple indicated the royal family
Shades of purple are associated with sacred knowledge and magic. As a general rule, in many cartoons, drawing and films the apparel of fairies, elves and fairy tale creatures are in shades of purple.
Purple - is an original color of nature, you can find it easily in many flowers,  vegies, gems, insects, sea creatures etc.

I love this color -  rich palette, bright effect and variety.
Babushka doll, silk tulips, pin brooch and mobile plush birds

Cherry Garden PR manager Choila does not mind purple also

Plush fellows of denim fabric

I love denim! It is beautiful and truly unique fabric. I had an interesting idea  -  to make of this textile a stuffed toys ... I chose a very thin denim fabric with shabby effect  to achieve smooth curved lines of the toys and be able to make the fine details.
So here they are!
miss Tricksy Snail
She loves a tulips and asked me to create a white silk tulip to carry it on her shell. I call her now miss Tulip Snail.

And a new sweet cute couple - Denim toys - Mother Whale and Baby whale.

And now I'm deep in thought - who's next  one? Maybe Denim Bunny?

DIY A cozy cottage for fairy

I'm sure - everyone needs a cozy warm home to be happy. And I thought - once I sew a rag doll and toys, why not make a dream house for the fairies and share this idea?
So - lets make Fairy Cottage!

Free DIY with pics! Use your small pieces of fabric - do not throw them away!

Skills level - beginner and up
Size approx.18 x 9 cm  (7.28" x  3.54")
Basic material - cotton fabric, filling material,  lace, trim, floral motives, buttons, beads and etc. as you wish and FUN!

INSTRUCTION

1. Sew together two pieces of fabric - our roof and walls.
2. Make a door for the cottage - attach lace as a first step. I have used a sewing press button to make a lock for the door.
3. I advise decorating the house according to your preference at this step - time to use your imagination! I have attached a lace sleeve pocket also - small, but I can put in a greeting tag, coins, small jewelry...Use a special sewing marker.
4. I have sewed the door - for me it is easier to do this part of the work at this stage.
5. Draw a house pattern on  fabric pieces, do not cut. Remember the chimney! 1. - Stitch the house, 2 - cut ( left 5mm edge!)
Fill the fairy cottage with your choice of  filling. Please remember - it is a nice opportunity to make a lavender sachet also!
6. Congrats! Lovely cottage - any fairy would like to live in such beautiful house!

In the Cherry Garden there is now a  Marshmallow Kingdom or Fairy Village!

Faeries know -to get a cozy cottage - the first step is just to think about it :-)

Here StudioFantasies you can draw your lovely dream house to order - what and where do you want to live! Wish and your dreams can come true!
