My Winter solstice day

Hooray!   The shortest day of the year is behind! I begin to think about my garden seriously. As always - have a lot of ideas, passion, good tools and many many pots and less time than I do prefer, possibilities of soil, watering, hot summer and preferences of our PR manager Choila
So I couldn't stay home today and spend about 1.5 hours in the local nursery. Yeees, it took time - I was not in big hurry but very thoughtful and curious about new habitants for our garden
Probably it was a little bit suspicious - I could not pass without  taking a photo of these beautiful flowers

Pansies...Is it easy to find someone who does not like this plants?

Second stop - camellias and azaleas. Intersting pink flowers plant, sorry I  do not know - what is it, but very nice and delicate

In the winter nursery - the most bright place is a huge stand with cyclamens. Amazing flame of colours!

Magic fragrance of giant pink, lilac, purple and blue hyacinths.
Last stop (before exit) - indoor plants section. Hmmmm...Maybe I have to think about a new palm tree for living room?
Orchids have their unique magic. I am sure they are precious gems in a Floral World
And...
The Amethyst Princess came home with me today
Happy to introduce her Highness

Picking cherries. Australian summer

2 months ago I have made my Cherry Snail

and I was wondering -
is any  difference between the cherries from farm and the cherries from the market / shop? We buy local berries in shop and they are pretty good but I have heard about easy way to have fun, eat cherries and pick them as much as you want.
So, 2 weeks ago me and my hubby with our huge basket, summer hats and  2 big bottles of water - (I was expecting to spend about 2 hours on hot sun) came for cherry harvest.
Cherry farm is between beautiful valleys and it is really great view!

Cherry farm
What can I say - there is a difference! Berries are bigger  and have more taste. They are covered by soil dust but they are so fresh and juicy...It is impossible to stop eating! How much have we eaten these day? No more than 1 kg )

20 minutes - and the basket is full. Sorry, I can not show our cherry crop - husband decided to make cherry brandy. Will be ready in 2 months!

Melbourne Spring

After my holidays the little garden in ceramic pots pleases me a lot - I adore these amazing colors and shapes...

Melbourne Spring - oh! So colorful, magnificent and full of wonderful odours. In our suburb many people have beautiful gardens - I  like to go for a walk and admire them.

Magnolia in Melbourne - white, pink and purple. First is my favorite - looks very exotic!
